Leesburg is a place for families, retirees and those seeking to escape the fast pace of the city. And conveniently enough, it s only a few hours away from big-city Atlanta or the beaches of Florida. 

The population of 3,000 will continue to grow as community projects enhance the quality of living in Leesburg, but the easy tempo of day-to-day life here is certain to remain the same. 

Festivals like Leesburg's annual Christmas Festival and the Smithville Chicken Pie festival offer neighbors a chance to catch up with each other and enjoy local food, crafts and exhibits with their families.

Each year the Lee County Chamber of Commerce host the Annual "Spirit of Christmas Parade & Festival" on the first Saturday of December. Parade begins at 10 a.m. downtown Leesburg. The parade generally has more than 100 entries each year. After the parade vendors, entertainment, great food, Santa photos, children's play area/rides will all be available.
